Cancellation Hunts
Namibia #138

SIMPLY THE BEST LEOPARD DEAL IN AFRICA! This PH hunts
nearly TWO MILLION ACRES near the famed Etosha Park in
North Namibia He, together with a block of 28 other ranchers,
have formed a conservancy, which all together comprises
over 650 thousand acres that he hunts. If that is not enough
ground for you, he has perhaps another one million five
hundred thousand acres in addition to that!!

True Wilderness- you can travel 50 miles in the bush! He tries
to rotate it each year, to keep quality high. As of 2006, his last
50 hunters took 47 kudu exceeding 50 inches, with the best a
whopping 62 inches!! Butch hunted here in June of 2006,
taking a nice leopard, and having two of his clients also take
leopards- going 3 for 3 in July, 2006! And 2 came in during
daylight, proving how lightly hunted this area is!! Nearly every
client of ours has succeeded on leopard and he was 15 for 17
in 2008! The PH grew up in the area and of course knows it
intimately, and understands and loves to hunt leopards! What
makes his area so special is that much of it lies near to the
Etosha Pan, which is a huge non-hunting Park of about 22,000
square kilometers! Within that park, lions, leopards, cheetahs
and elephants are free roaming. They frequently leave the
Pan to prey upon crops and farm animals of the conservancy,
thereby insuring good animal stocks that are regularly
replenished.  This area is virtually all unsettled, and he will
have good leopard hunting for the next 50 years!! There is
also excellent plains game, and Gemsbuck, Kudu, Eland,
Hartmanns Mountain Zebra, Hartebeest, Klipspringer, Damara
Dikdik, Warthog, Baboon, Hyena, Giraffe, Steenbok, Genet cat
and others are available. Butch was simply amazed as the
immensity of the wild lands hunted. You could have been in
deepest darkest Africa! Yet, each night returned to the lodge!
Much is never hunted! The daily rates and the packages
include field transportation, lodging, meals, drinks, tracking,
skinning and your guide. Please note the exceptionally
reasonable daily rates and the rates for observers and
children under 16 who hunt with a parent. His area is all-
private hunting land located about a 4-hour drive from
Windhoek. Any trip here should also include extra time to visit
Etosha National Park and the cheetah camp. One of our 2003
clients said to Butch that we should send every one of our
clients there!  He said it was his best experience ever. Since
then he has returned four times!

THE BEST LEOPARD PACKAGE IN AFRICA!!! $12,495 all
inclusive!

best there is. By comparison, on leopard, our better
Zimbabwe operators require a 14 day safari at between $750

miscellaneous charges plus charters- so around $19,000 (---
and Zim is about the most reasonable leopard country
around) Other countries are $20k to $30k! This Namibian hunt
is  40% below the price, and if you book our special deal – the
PH will refund to you $5500 on the spot if you do not have a
shot at a leopard!! And no charters needed- saving you at

ARCHERY Pricelist for 2009/2010 Hunting season:

BOWHUNTING PACKAGE:  10 days, 2X1, ONLY $2950 per
hunter!!!!  Pay trophy fees only on what you wound or kill!!
Butch feels this is a fairest way to treat bow hunters- why pay
for a package and feel pressured to fill the package by taking
an inferior animal?!!  Butch during his inspection of the area,
had kudu, gemsbock, warthog, hartebeest, giraffe, baboons
and other game come in to waterholes! Most stands were no
more than 25 yards from water, easy bow shot range. He had
ground blinds, elevated blinds, portable double bull blinds
too! For bowhunting we suggest going late during the dry
season so game is concentrated on the waterholes, although
earlier will also work. Late is from mid August thru mid-
October.  Check the trophy fee list for pricing on your trophy
animals.
For hunters wishing to do a shorter hunt (we do not advise
this with bow- you have challenges enough and the daily rate
is very cheap!)—you can simply contract for the number of
days you want. Also if anyone wants a package price for
themselves – we will custom build it for you- and it may save
you money to boot! Here is the daily rate:

Day rates: $ 300 per person, per day. Non hunters ( youth
hunters under 16) $120/day.
The day rates INCLUDE:  Hunting Guides, Trackers & Skinners,
Field preparation of trophies, lodging and meals, Transport to
and from the Airport, and your Trophy hunting permits,
Butch's 2006 Leopard.
Butch’s client Bill J with a Big Kudu
Kermit Wagner’s huge male leopard.
Namibia # 47

Located on the southwest coast of Africa, Namibia boasts the
lowest human population density of any country on the
African Continent and the highest game density, which makes
for exceptional hunting. Many people are still unaware of just
how great the hunting is in Namibia! Namibia values the Safari
trade and that is reflected in the quality and quantity of the
hunting available for you to enjoy. Namibia is safe, clean and
politically stable. The cities are modern, and English is the
official language. A little known fact is that Namibia has THE
most stringent requirements and training of any African
country to become a fully licensed PH! We think that is
important!!

This PH’s main lodge and camps are located about 210
kilometers from the airport in Windhoek (about 2 hour drive).
There he hunts approximately 250,000 acres of open,
unfenced ground  with a huge game capacity. You hunt at
about 5,000 feet of elevation in the bushveld, strewn with
acacia trees and with wide open plains and savanna, and
some big hills. Leopard, Kudu, gemsbok, hartebeest,
springbok, warthog, blue and black wildebeest, Burchells
zebra, impala, waterbuck, giraffe sable and eland- and much
more!  All wild, all free ranging. You can go to Botswana or
Tanzania, spend double or triple, and not have a better
experience! This is unfenced and game is plentiful and
country is quite wild!

He also has a number of other concessions totaling over a
million acres or so, and has just acquired a truly wild and
remote Damaraland concession for 2007. It borders the famed
Etosha National Park and is 400 000 acres of wild land. We
expect him to have a quota for 2 lions and 2 elephants plus
plains game there. Etosha is a true gem -a totally wild area
with no fences and plenty of  game.

He also just obtained one of best concessions in the famed
Caprivi Strip. The Caprivi is a strip of Namibian land lying
between Botswana and Zambia- prime game country. The
Mahango Park concession has been tangled up in
Governmental wrangling for eight years- and has gone
unhunted during that time! So the jumbo's have had time to
add tusk weight and plains game has been unpressured as
well! Our PH has just (June 09) acquired the area for the first
4 year term the government has issued. He has spoken with
the PH who had the area 8 years ago, and was told that the
last year in which it was hunted, the "AVERAGE" elephant was
around 50 pounds; but that ivory of 85 pounds had been
taken and three over 90 pounds were previously taken! This
concession has one of the highest populations of elephant in
the Caprivi and in the "old days, virtually everyone took an
elephant”.
He also reports that on  Sable and Roan-- the top 5 in Namibia
came from this area and he saw kudu well over 55 '' and one
of 58"!! This will be a hot concession!!

His Caprivi area lies just north of the famed Okavango Delta
of Botswana and is bordered by Botswana on the South and
Zambia on the North. The elephant prices here are half of
both of those areas! He has 4 remaining bulls on quota for
2009!! BOOK RIGHT NOW --- 2009-- FOR ONLY $30,000! For
2010 the pricing will jump to around $40,000!! But you get a
huge bargain this year!!  His buffalo quota is only 4 and is
booked for both 2009 and 2010. He does have available for
this year one remaining leopard hunt, plus one lechwe and
one roan and a couple warthog. For 2010, there may be
limited quota for hippo, croc, sable and kudu (some huge
kudu!). You can also book elephant for 2010 now! But ONLY 4
BULLS LEFT for this year! Why pay $60,000 for a jumbo in the
Okavango when you can do it here for half ?!!

In our opinion Namibia is the best bargain in the Safari world
right now, plus is a very politically stable country, with strong
US ties. There is also exceptional leopard hunting at very
reasonable prices- perhaps the best deals in Africa! We
prefer to hunt leopard from April on,  and you might consider
from Aug to Nov when it is dry and very hot and the cats have
to move to water to find prey- concentrating them . This PH
has his own hounds that he will use for leopards if the client
wants him to, or you can stay with baits. If you add the hounds
it costs an extra $1500 if you do not get a shot and or $3000 if
you do. Expect a charge with dogs! This is exciting stuff! Right
now we have the same leopard hunt in Botswana, with dogs,
but with no plains game - and it is $28,000 ! This is 1/3rd of
that!!

Our clients have all really enjoyed their hunts here- this PH is
a hard worker, and you get maximum efforts from him and his
staff!! Given that his hunts stretch all over Namibia, and reach
almost every specie there--he makes a great PH to work with!
